The forum is an effort by the authorities and industry in Norway to
determine best practice and methods for hydrocarbon resource and emissions
estimation,
forecasting uncertainty evaluation and decision making. The forum is organized as shown in
the figure below with a Board, two Workgroups, three Networks and a
Secretariat.

Representatives from the participating companies in FUN should constitute the
Board.
The Board elects the Chairman and Vice-chairman.
 | Membership of the Board is open to all oil companies active in Norway and to the NPD |

performed, together with
the scope of work and the budgetary framework |

of the National Budget reporting in all the operating oil companies and representatives
from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and the Ministry of Petroleum and
Energy.
Objectives

estimation, forecasting and
uncertainty evaluation between the companies and between the companies and the
authorities, reflecting the best practise and giving the parties the possibilities to make
optimal decisions |
 | Recommend improvements to the national budget reporting to the authorities |
Workgroup II is to be constituted among the sponsors of the "Best Practice Project". It consists of representatives
from each of three FUN networks, including the network leaders.
Objectives
 | Recommend initiatives to improve resource and emission
estimation, forecasting,
uncertainty and decision making. |
 | Act as a program committee for workshops / seminar at managemenet and professional level |
 | In general discuss and identify problems / possibilities in resource and emission
estimation, forecasting, uncertainty and decision making. |
Workgroup II will in addition to the above, be the steering committee for the Best Practice Project. The functions of Workgroup II as the
steering committee of the Best Practice Project can be
found in the Project Contract
The Networks are open to all FUN members. The networks are
